Hobart Reservior

HOBART RESERVOIR

On May 30, 2015, after my daughter’s High School Graduation my visiting family members and I decided to fish Hobart Reservoir. I traveled up Ash Canyon Road and hike down (about 1 mile) with my float tube to Hobart Reservoir, the day was a bit windy watch made it difficult at time in the float tubes. Our catch included Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout and Tiger Trout. The best fish were deep and you had to strip fast. Enjoy the short video.

HOBART RESERVOIR

On June 11, 2013, Rob Brehm, Jason Koop and I decided to fish Hobart Reservoir. We traveled up Ash Canyon Road and hike down (about 1 mile) with float tubes to Hobart Reservoir, the day was great, a bite windy at times. Our catch included Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout and Tiger Trout. We used several flies, including old standby Sheep Creek Special, I also use a water boatman, which lead to most of my catches. We released our catch, which was about 80 fish. Sorry short video, to busy fishing.

HOBART RESERVOIR

On August 21, 2012, my son and I decided to fish Hobart Reservoir.  I traveled up Ash Canyon Road and hike down (about 1 mile) with my float tube to Hobart Reservoir, the day was great, slight winds at times but mostly a calm lake.  Our catch included Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout and Tiger Trout.  I used several flies, but the old standby Sheep Creek Special was the one that worked best.  Enjoy the video.

HOBART RESERVOIR

On September 20, 2011, I decided to fish Hobart Reservoir.  I traveled up Ash Canyon Road and hike down (about 1 mile) with my float tube to Hobart Reservoir, the day was great, no wind and a calm lake.  I was the only one on the lake.  My catch included Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout and Tiger Trout.  I used several flies, but the old standby Sheep Creek Special was the one that worked best. I need to get better at showing the fish I catch. Enjoy the video.
